The geographic and ecological distribution of the Roan Mountain Sedge, Carex roanensis (Cyperaceae).

Carex roanensisは高山地帯に生育する極めて稀な種として知られていた。
筆者らは、実際には近縁種との明確な差異が明らかでないため、分類できる人が少なく、標本があってもCarex roanensisと同定されることが少なかったことを指摘。
そこで現地調査と標本庫に収められている標本を再同定し、種内変異と新分布域を明らかにした。
